ICE: 5 tips to end with the blues

15 Jan

It sometimes happens at a turn of life you feel sad, overwhelmed, lonely, lost and left from everybody around you. You don’t know what to do, think or be anymore. No solution comes up, nothing turns fine, you feel trapped in a dark and no ended tunnel. No smile in your heart anymore, nor light in your mind. You’re devasted, broken, as if you were in a no way.

What to do to get out of this mess?

I can hear some of you replying: “just wait and see”, some others “please, do not disturb”, or “must find a psychiatrist”, “I eat, it calms me down”, “I go back to sport”, “I cut my hair”, “I drown my blues in lots of glasses of Gin”, “I’ve got no idea: I just try to survive”, and so on.

In Case of Emergency, there are simple 5 tips to give the blues up:

  • 1/ Go out: the sun light is very important for the mental health: it rises your serotonin. So you’ll sleep better at night, and you’ll be better during the day
  • 2/ Eat healthy: the junk food rushes you to some bad addictive ways of eating and deprives you of basics vitamins and oligo elements your body needs to be fine
  • 3/ Ask some help from your relatives, your best friend: love is the best way to feel confident again, and find some comfort to get out of your depressed state
  • 4/ Tell yourself that your issue is big, scary, and off your control: this way is the only one to set your guardians of resilience up. They will help you to go through this bad moment. Everybody gets some. Yes, indeed!
  • 5/ Become your best friend: be careful, grateful, thankful for who you are. Think you are the most important person for yourself. Take care of you as if you were a baby.

Start with these simple ways of doing. You need to slow down, to pay attention to your feelings, emotions and your body reactions. Once you’ll be more at ease with yourself, you’ll be able to add some more tips. But now, you need to find out your inner you, so be patient as with a little child: step by step. Then after a while (I mean a few hours, a day, a week), congratulate yourself, be indulgent with all things that require a big energy and more strentgh you’ve hardly got now. A time will come over when you’re ready to go further.

So I’d like to say the main thing: Love is the best way to go through a hard time. Love means: giving and receiving. Love means to pray, to take back all the pieces of you scattered everywhere outside you. You have to refocus on yourself.

Don’t feel ashamed. You’re just finding out a new axis. Because the main reason you feel depressed is that one: you have lost your inner you somewhere on the way. Then it has been as if you were someone else, a weird and unknown you. You have put a too big distance between your social you and your inner you.

The word is: dysharmony. When you started to be scared, to feel unsatisfied of your life, of yourself, you have created a big space of disillusions, missed things, conducive to malvolent people around, and negative feelings that led you to that depressed state.

That’s why being grateful and thankful for what you’ve got yet is the secret to find out the light at the end of the tunnel. It works out!

I trust in you: you’re going to succeed!

Love,

Jane
