You’re serious, there, Jane?

In this post, I’d like to talk about niggards. Nobody likes them, but you have probably noticed there’s one around you: a friend, a colleague, a relative, a neighbor… Anyone can be the prey of a niggard, but here are some tips to allow you to change your way of doing with them.

Life is a smart exchange between people: you all share something for a day, a week, a month. It can be a smile, a kind word, a recipe, a tip for your laptop, a coin given to an homeless. Life is a big play where you can learn how to be proud of you because you are working on your failures, your flaws, your doubts, etc. You want to be a better person, you are ready to share your experience; you can give some of your time to explain, to teach, to help, to take care, to talk, to write, to cook, etc. Everything you can do, it’s because you are a generous person. Nothing nor nobody even has to tell you what you must or not do for others: you’re a self-confident person, you know the border between good and bad.

Nevertheless, you’ve got at least one niggard around you… Watch carefully!

The main thing is to get a niggard doesn’t think they are one. They make their life around the fact they want to give or pay (or give) as less as possible. Nothing to do with education, way of living, or any other reason: a niggard is a selfish person, ready for anything to protect themselves against the lack of wealth or the loss of it. A niggard never thinks they get enough wealth, so the more they can get, the more they’ll be happy (they are never happy, actually, because they are a permanent discontent). But running after wealth means they worry a lot and spend their time to compare what they get and what others get. They can feel really sad just because you have changed your car for a new one, when they haven’t: the niggard is jealous and envy everybody.

A niggard doesn’t trust themselves enough: they don’t think they are able to create wealth as much as they want, as long as they’re living! The more they’re scared, the more they’re going to lose what they’ve got. Abundance comes up with people who like to spend money, to share, to give. That’s a strong energy which drives them into a big and wonderful power: the power of love.

You’re serious, here, Jane? Abundance is love? Giving is love? Love is a power? That power creates happiness and wealth?

For a niggard, the fear of missing is so big that it can be a brake for happiness in life. The fear of not getting enough drives them into some very complicated relationships: how to get friends as they don’t want to give them anything? A niggard is a cunning person, ready for anything to save their money, someone who wants to take something from you as they consider it as a right. The contrary, wouldn’t be possible as they do protect their money and properties.

At last, a niggard can be a very smart person; they calculate for everything all the time long, especially when you trust them. A niggard can be a nice person too, a lover as well, someone who tells you how much you are precious to them, how such a wonderful best friend you are, how they are lucky to be around you (of course!) and so on…

So don’t let them spoil your time, your life, and take off the money you earn! Be aware each time you give something to someone: when was the last time you gave them anything, when was the last time they gave you anything? It will be a good test to know who gives, who takes, how many times a week, a month, a year… and since when!

Well, my dear HappinesShakers, I’m not doing the apology of selfishness, but sometimes, it’s good to remind you deserve to be served first when you want to give to someone.

I’m sure you’re going to think about that topic these days. Because you want to move on, you want to take care of you, because you deserve to be the most important person for you too. I’m not talking about becoming selfish, nor being scared of giving, but how not to waste your time with selfish people. You’ve got better to do.

You’re serious, there, Jane?

Yeh!

Love,

Jane
